About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Planner to join their remote operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs. Your expertise in forecasting, capacity planning, and inventory management will be crucial in maintaining efficient operations and meeting customer demands. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments, all within a remote work structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, considering demand, capacity, and material availability.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure alignment and smooth workflow.
- Monitor production progress against schedules and implement necessary adjustments to mitigate delays.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and optimize planning processes.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support production requirements.
- Prepare reports on production status, key performance indicators (KPIs), and potential risks to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar planning role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production planning principles, scheduling techniques, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and planning software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities for remote teamwork.
