Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Production Planner to join their manufacturing operations in Norwich . This role is key to ensuring that production schedules are realistic, efficient, and aligned with customer demand and resource availability. You will work closely with various departments, including sales, procurement, and production, to create and manage effective production plans. This hybrid role offers the chance to contribute to smooth operational flow while collaborating with teams both on-site and potentially remotely, supporting our manufacturing endeavors in Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain detailed production schedules to meet demand and optimize resource utilization.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Liaise with production supervisors to monitor progress against the schedule and address any deviations.
• Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks or constraints.
• Communicate production plans and updates to relevant stakeholders across the organization.
• Maintain accurate records of production data and performance metrics.

Requirements

• Previous experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes and supply chain principles.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in using planning software and Microsoft Excel.
