About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join their team, supporting operations from a remote location. This role is vital for ensuring that production schedules are optimized to meet customer demand while maximizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times. You will work closely with various departments, including sales, procurement, and production, to create efficient and achievable production plans. This position leverages advanced planning tools and requires strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service to understand demand and prioritize production orders effectively.
- Collaborate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address deviations, delays, or urgent requests.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for schedule optimization.
- Communicate production plans and any changes clearly to all relevant stakeholders, including the manufacturing floor and management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Planner , scheduler, or in a similar supply chain planning role.
- Proficiency with production planning software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and inventory management principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
