Production Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Production Process Engineer to join their manufacturing team in Sheffield . This role is integral to optimizing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and output. You will be responsible for analyzing existing production methods, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements using engineering best practices. The successful candidate will work closely with production staff, quality control, and management to drive continuous improvement and achieve production targets. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor production lines to identify process inefficiencies, quality issues, and safety concerns.
• Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing processes to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Support the introduction of new products and processes into the production environment.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for targeted improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a production engineering or process engineering role within a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using production monitoring tools and basic data analysis.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
