We are recruiting for a Production Shift Manager to lead manufacturing operations on shift, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of production plans. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader looking to develop their career in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production teams, driving performance, engagement, and accountability.
- Deliver key operational KPIs including OEE, waste reduction, quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Take ownership of shift operations, making real-time decisions to maintain production performance.
- Manage safety and quality incidents, investigations, audits, and corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and performance.Ensure production activities are completed in line with site standards and operational plans.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, absence management, and employee relations activities.
- Coordinate effective shift handovers and communicate operational disruptions clearly.
- Support training, development, and succession planning within operational teams.
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environment.
- Strong understanding of health & safety, quality systems, and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience managing teams, performance, and change in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demands.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, operational excellence, and lean methodologies.
- Mechanical aptitude and technical understanding would be advantageous.
