About the Role
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, is seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee operations at their facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This critical role involves managing a production team, ensuring efficient and high-quality output, and upholding strict safety and hygiene standards. You will be responsible for supervising daily production activities, optimizing workflow, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing supervision, a commitment to operational excellence, and the ability to lead and motivate a production workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of production operators, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor production processes, identifying and resolving operational issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Implement and promote lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and develop production staff, fostering a culture of skill development and high performance.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar manufacturing leadership role, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and health and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Willingness to work shifts as required and a commitment to operational excellence in Stoke-on-Trent .
