Production Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Supervisor to lead their team in the food manufacturing sector based in Belfast . This role involves overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that all products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing a shift of production operatives, monitoring output, maintaining hygiene standards, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the plant. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of production operatives, ensuring adherence to schedules and procedures.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC).
• Manage shift operations to meet production targets for volume, quality, and waste reduction.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment is operated safely and maintained effectively.
• Train new team members on production processes, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any non-compliance issues promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing or similar fast-paced production environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
• Familiarity with production scheduling and performance monitoring.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and workplace safety.
• Basic IT proficiency for reporting and record-keeping.
