Production Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their Portsmouth facility. You will lead a team of production staff, ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and meet quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of production workflows, and the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. You will be crucial in driving productivity and ensuring the smooth execution of production schedules on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of production operators and technicians, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure all production activities are carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Monitor production performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and ensure all products meet specified requirements.
• Manage production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely completion of orders.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development for the production team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production processes , lean manufacturing principles, and health and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively to achieve production targets.
• Experience with production scheduling and resource management.
