Production Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to manage daily operations at their facility in Birmingham . You will be responsible for leading a team of production operatives, ensuring that all manufacturing targets are met in terms of volume, quality, and timeliness. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes to maintain a safe and productive work environment. You'll play a crucial part in upholding the company's reputation for excellence in production output and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure efficient workflow and output.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety procedures on the factory floor.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing training and support to team members.
• Maintain quality standards by overseeing production processes and identifying defects.
• Manage resources, including materials and equipment, to optimize production costs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and health and safety regulations .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) or similar software.
• Experience in lean manufacturing principles is highly desirable.
