Production Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their manufacturing facility in Edinburgh . This role is hands-on, requiring strong leadership to guide a team of production staff, ensure output targets are met, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and a commitment to fostering a productive and safe working environment. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of the production team to achieve output goals.
• Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor production lines, identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Train and mentor production staff on best practices, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Maintain production records and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality control teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of production processes and equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with production tracking systems.
