About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and proactive Production Supervisor to join their thriving manufacturing facility in Glasgow . In this vital role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensuring that manufacturing targets are met safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead and motivate a team of production operators, foster a positive working environment, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure all production activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor production output and quality, identifying and addressing any deviations promptly.
- Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Train new employees on production procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain production records and report on daily performance metrics to the Production Manager.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Solid understanding of production processes and manufacturing best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Basic knowledge of quality control principles and health & safety standards.
- Familiarity with production reporting and record-keeping.
