About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Production Support Engineer to join their team, remotely supporting operations in Leeds . This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our chemical production facilities by providing expert technical assistance and problem-solving capabilities. You will play a key role in diagnosing and resolving process-related issues, optimizing production parameters, and implementing improvements to enhance overall plant performance and safety. This remote position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer to leverage their expertise across multiple sites, contributing significantly to operational excellence from anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support to production teams to troubleshoot and resolve process issues in real-time.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Develop and implement solutions to improve process yield, throughput, and product quality.
- Assist in the commissioning and validation of new equipment and process modifications.
- Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical production, process engineering, or a similar support role.
- Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and process simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, especially in a remote setting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
