About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Production Systems Engineer to join their vital operations in Sheffield . This role is essential for optimizing the efficiency, reliability, and safety of their production lines. You will be involved in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems, ensuring seamless integration of processes and equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production line performance and identify opportunities for improvement in throughput, quality, and cost reduction.
- Design, implement, and validate modifications to production systems, equipment, and workflows.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation for production processes.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and operational teams to resolve production issues and implement preventive measures.
- Lead small to medium-sized projects focused on enhancing production efficiency, automation, or safety.
- Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to monitor production performance and identify trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production engineering or systems engineering role within manufacturing.
- Proficiency in analyzing production data and implementing process improvements.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with CAD software and production simulation tools is a plus.
