Production Technician

Role Overview

You'll be joining an established UK manufacturer, known for producing cutting‑edge, niche technology, with full in‑house design, development and manufacturing capability. With strong demand and continued growth, the business is investing in its production function and expanding across multiple areas, recently adding to its facility.

Responsibilities

• Electro‑mechanically assemble and test a varied portfolio of products, ranging from cable assembly to full system test and build.
• Conduct fault‑finding at the component level and troubleshoot issues.
• Operate electronics testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and digital voltmeters.
• Document and record production processes efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Assembly and test experience within a technical engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Strong electronics understanding: SMT soldering (0201), wiring, cable harness, analogue and digital video processing.
• Experience with optics and PCB considered highly preferable.
• Comfortable using testing equipment: oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators.

Position: Production Technician; Location: Cambridge; Salary: £30k‑£35k.
