Program Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Manager to oversee and direct key initiatives within their organization, operating remotely. This role is instrumental in the strategic planning, implementation, and successful execution of programs designed to achieve our client's charitable objectives. You will lead project teams, manage resources, and ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, making a significant impact from any location. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented professional to drive change and contribute to the vital work of the Charity & Voluntary sector in a flexible, remote-first environment based out of Southampton .

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of assigned programs, from conception and planning through to implementation and evaluation.
• Develop detailed program plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Manage program budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.
• Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Monitor program progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
• Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management, providing regular updates to senior leadership and relevant parties.
• Evaluate program outcomes against set objectives and facilitate lessons learned for future improvements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in program or project management, with a strong understanding of program methodologies.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and leading teams in a remote setting.
• Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong financial management and budgeting capabilities.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience within the Charity & Voluntary sector is highly desirable.
