About the Role
Our client, a leading charity organisation in Leeds , is seeking a skilled and dedicated Programme Officer to manage and develop key community programmes. This role is essential for delivering on the organisation's mission by overseeing impactful projects that address local needs and create positive change. You will work closely with community members, partner organisations, and internal teams to ensure programmes are effectively designed, implemented, and monitored, contributing to the sustainable development and well-being of the communities we serve across West Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of community development programmes.
- Develop project proposals and budgets, seeking funding from various sources including grants and trusts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, local authorities, and partner agencies in Leeds .
- Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to ensure programme effectiveness and impact.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and staff/volunteer teams to achieve programme objectives.
- Prepare regular reports on programme progress, outcomes, and financial expenditure for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience in programme management or project coordination, preferably within the charity sector .
- Strong understanding of community development principles and practices.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in monitoring and evaluation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of proposal writing.
