Project Architect - Residential

About the Role

Our client, a leading architectural firm with a strong reputation in Reading , is seeking a dedicated Project Architect to lead residential development projects. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from initial client engagement and conceptual design through to detailed construction documentation and site supervision. This role is crucial for driving the delivery of high-quality housing schemes that meet modern living standards and contribute positively to the built environment of Berkshire , working within a highly collaborative and client-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of high-quality residential projects from inception to completion.
• Engage with clients, consultants, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop detailed architectural designs, including floor plans, elevations, and sections.
• Ensure compliance with NHBC standards, building regulations, and planning policies.
• Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, specifications, and tender packages.
• Manage site inspections and liaise with contractors to ensure quality of build in Reading .

Requirements

• Fully qualified Architect with substantial experience (7+ years) in the residential sector.
• Proven track record of managing residential projects from start to finish.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in BIM workflows.
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills are essential.
• Ability to manage project timelines and budgets effectively in the Berkshire area.
