Project Architect

About the Role

Our client, a respected architectural practice, is seeking a driven Project Architect to lead key projects in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK . This role is central to managing the entire lifecycle of architectural projects, from initial client engagement and design conception through to construction and final handover. You will be responsible for ensuring design integrity, technical quality, and timely delivery, working within a collaborative and innovative studio environment. This position offers an excellent platform for an architect looking to take on greater responsibility and contribute significantly to the built environment of Edinburgh and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of multiple architectural projects concurrently.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop comprehensive design proposals and technical documentation packages.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant building regulations, planning policies, and quality standards in Scotland .
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation effectively.
• Conduct site visits and construction supervision to ensure design intent is realized.

Requirements

• A recognized professional qualification in Architecture (e.g., RIAS/ARB or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as a Project Architect.
• Proficiency in architectural software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and presentation tools.
• Strong knowledge of UK and Scottish building regulations and planning laws.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in managing project teams and external stakeholders.
