About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Project Chemical Engineer to join their team in Reading . This role focuses on managing and executing chemical engineering projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. You will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, construction support, and commissioning. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the technical aspects of chemical engineering projects, from scope definition to final handover.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against these objectives.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of process equipment and systems.
• Ensure all project activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Provide technical expertise and problem-solving support throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in managing chemical engineering projects, preferably within a manufacturing or R&D setting.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with process design, scale-up, and plant operations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
