Project Director – Major Construction Project Location: Rochester, Kent Salary: Up to £120,000 + Package Permanent

Ridgeway & Co are recruiting an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a major new-build manufacturing facility in the Rochester area.

This is a senior permanent appointment with an established main contractor and will involve overall responsibility for the project from a construction, commercial, programme and client perspective.

The successful candidate will lead the project team and act as the senior point of contact throughout delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

• Overall responsibility for successful project delivery

• Leading the construction and project management teams

• Managing programme, quality, commercial performance and risk

• Maintaining senior-level client relationships

• Managing key subcontractor and supply-chain relationships

• Chairing project and progress meetings

• Monitoring project performance against programme

• Working closely with commercial, design and technical teams

• Ensuring health, safety and quality standards are maintained

• Reporting project performance to senior management

• Driving the project through to successful completion and handover

Requirements

• Proven experience at Project Director or senior Project Manager level

• Strong main contractor background

• Experience delivering major commercial, industrial or technically complex construction projects

• Strong client-facing and leadership skills

• Excellent knowledge of construction programming and project delivery

• Ability to lead large multidisciplinary project teams

• Relevant construction qualification

• SMSTS and CSCS

Salary: Up to £120,000 plus package depending on experience.
