About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Project Engineer to join their growing Civil Infrastructure team in Derby . This role will involve managing and contributing to the execution of various civil engineering projects, from initial planning through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to take on greater responsibility, work on diverse projects, and play a key role in the development of infrastructure within the Derbyshire region.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of civil engineering projects.
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and site records.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to verify work standards.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the construction phase and implement effective solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering project execution or site management.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
