About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and technically adept Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of construction projects in the Reading area. This role involves assisting Project Managers with planning, execution, and monitoring of construction activities, ensuring projects are completed to specification, on time, and within budget. You will play a key role in technical problem-solving, coordinating with design teams and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards, making this an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to gain valuable experience on diverse projects within a reputable construction firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in planning and executing construction projects according to established timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project flow.
- Review project plans, specifications, and ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations .
- Monitor construction progress on-site, identifying and resolving technical issues and potential delays.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, permits, and correspondence.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets project standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering field.
- Some experience (1-3 years) in a construction project engineering or related role.
- Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
