Project Engineer - Power Generation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Project Engineer specializing in Power Generation to join their team in Norwich . This role is instrumental in managing and executing various power generation projects, from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be involved in all project phases, collaborating with engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to successfully bring critical energy infrastructure projects to fruition.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for power generation projects , including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, procurement, construction, and commissioning personnel.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely corrective actions.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering or project management within the power generation sector .
• Proven experience managing projects involving various types of power plants (e.g., gas, renewables, combined heat and power).
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
