About the Role
Our client, a well-established construction company, is looking for a motivated Project Engineer to support the delivery of their projects in Reading . You will work closely with the project management team, providing technical support, managing site activities, and ensuring that construction work is carried out safely, on time, and to the specified quality standards. This is an excellent entry-level or mid-career role for an ambitious engineer looking to gain broad experience within the construction industry and contribute to significant developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects.
- Provide technical engineering support to the site team and subcontractors.
- Monitor site progress, quality of work, and adherence to drawings and specifications.
- Help manage site logistics, including materials and plant.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Prepare site reports, method statements, and risk assessments.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
- Previous experience in a site-based engineering or project support role within construction .
- Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
