Project Engineer | Pressure Vessels | Renewable Energy Sector
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to join a growing engineering business delivering bespoke pressure vessels, heat exchangers and engineered solutions to the energy sector.
Supporting projects across renewable energy, hydrogen, carbon capture, waste-to-energy and conventional power generation, you'll play a key role throughout the full project lifecycle, from initial concept design through to delivery and commissioning.
This position would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer or Project Engineer with pressure vessel design experience who is looking to join an innovative company working on technically challenging projects with genuine career development opportunities.
The Role
Design and engineer pressure vessels and associated equipment for industrial applications. Perform detailed engineering calculations using relevant design codes and standards. Review customer specifications, drawings and technical requirements. Support projects from concept design through to manufacture and commissioning. Produce technical documentation, calculations and manufacturing information. Attend customer meetings and provide technical support when required. Work closely with engineering, quality, supply chain and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practice initiatives.Requirements
Essential
Degree-qualified Engineer or equivalent. Experience in pressure vessel design and mechanical engineering. Knowledge of design codes such as ASME VIII, EN 13445, AD2000 or CODAP. Experience selecting pressure vessel components and instrumentation. Strong understanding of thermodynamics and engineering fundamentals. Ability to communicate technical information through calculations, drawings and specifications. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Full UK driving licence. Desirable
Heat exchanger design experience. Experience using PV Elite, ASPEN, HTRI or Autodesk Inventor. Knowledge of TEMA, API and ASME standards. Experience creating or interpreting P&IDs. Understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes. What's On Offer?
