Project Manager - Capital Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee significant capital projects within their expanding portfolio, based in Bristol . This role is crucial for ensuring the successful delivery of high-value projects that contribute to the company's infrastructure development and strategic growth. You will manage all project phases, from initial planning and feasibility studies to final implementation and handover, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of capital projects , ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and develop detailed project plans.
• Procure necessary resources, including contractors and suppliers, and manage their performance.
• Oversee project execution, monitoring progress, and implementing corrective actions as required.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and health and safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with clients, internal departments, and regulatory bodies throughout the project duration.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in project management , with a strong emphasis on capital projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects with budgets exceeding £5 million.
• In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is preferred.
