Project Manager - Community Development

About the Role

Our client, a leading organisation within the Charity & Voluntary sector , is looking for a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead impactful Community Development initiatives in Brighton . This role is crucial for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects that aim to improve local community wellbeing and provide essential support services. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders, manage project teams, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard, making a real difference in people's lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
• Manage project teams, providing direction, motivation, and support to ensure successful outcomes.
• Engage with and manage relationships with stakeholders, community groups, and beneficiaries.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with the organisation's strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager , with a strong track record in delivering successful projects, ideally in the Charity & Voluntary sector .
• Excellent understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Experience in community development or related social impact fields is highly desirable.
• Relevant project management qualifications (e.g., Prince2, PMP) are advantageous.
