Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction to oversee projects in Sheffield . You will be responsible for managing all phases of construction projects, from planning and design through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies. You will play a crucial role in shaping the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the execution of construction projects from inception to substantial completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scopes of work, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Oversee on-site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
• Manage relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Conduct regular site inspections and project meetings, preparing comprehensive progress reports.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry .
• Demonstrated experience in managing various types of construction projects (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management software.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations in construction.
• Proven leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
