Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager with a specialization in Construction to oversee significant projects in the Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK area. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, adhering to strict quality, safety, and budgetary standards. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the construction lifecycle, coordinating with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction projects, from initial site assessment and planning through to final handover.
• Develop detailed project schedules, allocate resources effectively, and manage project budgets to ensure cost-efficiency.
• Oversee on-site operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and quality standards.
• Coordinate and liaise with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project progression.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, documenting key developments and resolving any issues promptly.
• Manage client relationships, providing regular updates and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager , with a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, building regulations, and health & safety legislation.
• Proficiency in construction project management software and tools.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong ability to manage budgets, schedules, and complex stakeholder relationships.
• A relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
