Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and skilled Project Manager to oversee construction projects in and around Derby . This critical role involves managing all phases of construction projects, from planning and execution to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring strong leadership and an in-depth understanding of construction methodologies and project management principles within the UK construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, resource allocation, and budgets.
• Coordinate and manage all on-site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labor.
• Ensure compliance with all building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Regularly report on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a construction project manager with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction principles, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively on-site.
