About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Project Manager with a strong background in the Construction industry for their Leeds office. This role is central to overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial design and procurement to on-site supervision and final handover. This hybrid position allows for flexibility while requiring a significant presence on project sites and in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and financial statements.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
- Ensure all projects are completed within the agreed-upon timelines and budgetary constraints.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications are advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction sector.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a dynamic environment.
