About the Role
Our client is seeking a proficient Project Manager with an engineering background to join their dedicated team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is focused on managing the design, development, and implementation of new engineering projects and process improvements. You will be responsible for ensuring projects meet technical specifications, quality standards, and are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen combined with excellent project management skills, enabling them to effectively coordinate engineering teams, manage resources, and liaise with various departments and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and finalise engineering projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Acquire resources and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, track progress, and identify potential issues.
- Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the project lifecycle for Staffordshire engineering initiatives.
- Communicate project status, updates, and necessary escalations to relevant parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of engineering principles and project lifecycles.
- Proficiency in project management software and CAD tools if applicable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills for projects in Stoke-on-Trent .
