About the Role
Our client seeks a dedicated Project Manager with a strong background in Engineering to manage key projects within their facilities located in Plymouth . You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of engineering projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to design, implementation, and commissioning. This role requires a meticulous approach to planning, execution, and stakeholder management, ensuring projects meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and timeline objectives. You will work closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and operational staff in a site-based capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery according to project objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee engineering design, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate effectively with internal engineering departments, external consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in an engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
- Excellent technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Ability to manage complex projects on-site in Plymouth and coordinate with various stakeholders.
