About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organised and technically adept Project Manager to oversee diverse engineering projects within their operations in Portsmouth . This role requires a professional who can manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring technical specifications are met, deadlines are adhered to, and budgets are managed effectively. You will work closely with engineering teams, designers, and external contractors, translating technical requirements into actionable project plans and ensuring seamless execution in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for engineering initiatives, from initial scoping to final delivery and review.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and budget allocations.
- Coordinate the activities of engineering teams, designers, and external suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant engineering standards, quality control measures, and safety regulations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns.
- Communicate project status and key decisions effectively to stakeholders, including management and technical teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management , preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical background and understanding of engineering principles and processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within budget.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with project management software and CAD tools is beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
