Project Manager - Infrastructure Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable Project Manager to oversee significant Infrastructure Development projects in the vibrant city of Oxford . This role is integral to managing the planning, design, and execution of major infrastructure improvements, ensuring they meet stringent quality, safety, and environmental standards. You will work closely with engineers, contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver projects that enhance the city's development and connectivity. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure development projects, from feasibility studies and design to construction and handover.
• Oversee project planning, including scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for large-scale projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, environmental regulations, and health and safety standards .
• Coordinate and manage multiple contractors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring project delivery milestones are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor project execution and quality.
• Engage with stakeholders, including community groups and local government, to ensure alignment and address concerns.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing infrastructure development projects (e.g., civil engineering, utilities, transport).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in project management software and relevant engineering design tools.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage complex technical challenges and make decisive recommendations.
• Relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
