About the Role

Our client requires a skilled Project Manager with expertise in Marine Engineering to join their dynamic team in Plymouth . You will be responsible for managing a variety of marine-related projects, from initial concept through to successful completion. This role involves close collaboration with naval architects, engineers, and offshore teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the maritime industry and a proven ability to lead technical projects in a challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of marine engineering projects , including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure in Plymouth .
• Coordinate with technical teams, including naval architects, engineers, and supply chain partners.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, resource plans, and budgets specific to marine projects.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing timely and effective mitigation strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices throughout project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related engineering field.
• Significant experience in Project Management within the marine or offshore industry.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical projects and large budgets effectively.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in or with the maritime sector in the Devon region is beneficial.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools is essential.
