Project Manager - Public Sector

About the Role

Our client is seeking a competent and organized Project Manager to oversee projects within the Public Sector framework in Norwich . You will be responsible for managing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that serve the community, ensuring they meet government standards and stakeholder expectations. This role requires strong communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as an understanding of public sector procurement and project delivery within Norfolk . You will contribute to important civic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of public sector projects, from initiation and planning through to execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with public sector guidelines.
• Liaise effectively with government officials, community stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant public sector regulations, procurement policies, and quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement timely corrective actions to keep projects on schedule.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports and final project documentation to relevant authorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager , preferably with exposure to the Public Sector or governmental projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects within defined budgets and timelines.
• Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and project governance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, particularly for engaging with diverse stakeholders in Norfolk .
• Proficiency in project management software and standard office productivity tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
