Project Manager - Software Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and adaptable Project Manager with a passion for software development to join their innovative team, operating with a significant remote component from their Cambridge base. This role is key to ensuring the timely and successful delivery of cutting-edge software products, from initial concept through to deployment and ongoing support. You will work closely with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to manage the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and champion Agile best practices.
• Manage project backlogs, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to development teams.
• Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies clearly and consistently to stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Identify and mitigate risks and impediments that could impact project timelines or deliverables.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management , specifically within software development environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience with their practical application.
• Proven ability to manage multiple software projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with software development tools and technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
