Project Manager - Supply Chain Logistics

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager specializing in Supply Chain Logistics to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is critical for optimizing logistical operations, implementing new supply chain technologies, and driving efficiency improvements across the network. You will manage diverse projects aimed at enhancing inventory management, transportation, and warehousing processes. Working closely with operations, procurement, and IT departments, you will ensure seamless integration and execution of strategic initiatives within the company's supply chain framework in Staffordshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of supply chain and logistics projects, from initial scoping to final implementation.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk management strategies.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners, ensuring effective collaboration.
• Oversee the implementation of new logistics software and technologies.
• Monitor project progress, report on key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure projects meet defined objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager with a strong focus on supply chain, logistics, or operations.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects related to inventory optimization, transportation management, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with logistics software and systems (e.g., WMS, TMS).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
