Project Manager - Utilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Project Manager with experience in the Utilities sector to manage key infrastructure projects in Plymouth . You will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and stakeholder engagement to execution and completion, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex operational projects within the Devon region. You will play a vital role in maintaining and upgrading essential services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and successful delivery of utilities projects, including water, energy, or telecommunications infrastructure.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocation strategies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant industry regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to oversee work quality and ensure timely completion in the Plymouth area.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager , with a strong background in the Utilities sector or infrastructure development.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources for complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of utilities operations, regulations, and construction practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools relevant to the utilities industry.
• Relevant degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
