Project Manager – Water - Greater Manchester - Up to £70,000 - Company car or 10% of salary car allowance (uplift for electric cars) - Company-wide bonus scheme - Healthcare
J3A Recruitment is working with a leading, privately owned civil engineering and multi-utility business to appoint an experienced Project Manager within its established water division.

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of civil engineering projects across Greater Manchester. You will manage each scheme from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, commercial performance and client satisfaction.
As Project Manager, you will be doing:

Managing civil engineering and water infrastructure projects from initial mobilisation through to handover
*
Taking overall responsibility for health, safety, quality and environmental performance
*
Ensuring RAMS, site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings are completed
*
Managing site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and directly employed operatives
*
Working collaboratively with clients, design partners, commercial teams and operational management
*
Monitoring progress against the contract programme and implementing recovery plans where required
*
Supporting cost control, valuations, variations and overall commercial performance
*
Maintaining accurate project records, including CVIs, technical queries and progress reports
*
Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and client requirements
*
Managing material, plant and labour requirements to ensure resources are used efficiently
*
Leading progress meetings and maintaining clear communication with all project stakeholders
*
Ensuring quality inspections are completed and non-conformances are properly investigated and closed out
*
Coordinating the timely completion of O&M manuals, as-built drawings and health and safety files
What we’re looking for in a Project Manager:
*
Strong experience delivering civil engineering projects, ideally within the UK water sector
*
Previous experience managing site teams and subcontractors
*
A good understanding of NEC contracts and CDM Regulations
*
Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project costs
*
CSCS & SMSTS qualification
*
Minimum three-day First Aid qualification
*
HNC, HND or degree in a construction-related discipline
*
Temporary Works Supervisor and SEATS accreditation would be advantageous
*
Excellent leadership, planning and organisational skills
*
The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment
