Job Description
The main duties of a Project manager will be to:
- To manage the work of the project as a whole, as well as to support and develop the vision of The Light of The World Community Centre. To ensure good relationships between the Community Centre and The Church./
- To help local people to develop their own ideas and to work with them at every level using project facilities, forming activity groups and encouraging active live participation.
- To seek recources to develop ans sustain activities within the project and at the Community Centre.
- To co-ordinate training provision for staff, volunteers and users of the Community Centre .
- To have responsibility for reporting and dealing with the maintenance requirement of the building and equiptment.
- To facilitate the managemernt committee and attend sub-group and commitee meetings.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience of development work in a community setting
- Experience managing a project
- Experience supervising staff
- Experience of lasing with other agency's
- Substabtial experience of negociating funding, writing funding applications and all other aspects of fundraising.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a multicultural setting
Qualifications
- Good level Numaracy/ litracy skills. To be able to write reports and complete funding applications.
- Degree in management
- 3 years substantial experience in management
