Job Description
My client are a specialist civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Project Manager to help deliver a major tunnelling and shafts project in London. The successful candidate must have strong experience managing tunnelling and shaft construction projects. Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for project delivery
- Managing project programmes and budgets
- Client and stakeholder liaison
- Managing subcontractors and site teams
- Health and safety compliance
- Managing RAMS, permits and project documentation
- Managing tunnelling and shaft construction works
- Monitoring progress and commercial performance
- Managing project risks and reporting
- Ensuring works are delivered on programme, within budget and to specification
- Leading project meetings and providing progress updates Project Manager Requirements:
- Black or Gold CSCS
- SMSTS
- Strong tunnelling and shafts experience is essential
- Previous experience managing underground civil engineering projects
- Experience with SCL, shaft sinking, TBM, pipe jacking or similar tunnelling methods would be advantageous
- Strong civil engineering background
- Strong programme and commercial management experience
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
