Project Quantity Surveyor

An opportunity exists for a Project Quantity Surveyor, who is a British National, with a tier civil engineering contractor on a major MOD infrastructure scheme delivering critical marine and civil engineering works.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a technically challenging project involving marine construction, offshore piling and complex concrete structures.

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience within a civil engineering environment and be looking to further develop their commercial career on a nationally significant project.

Your duties will include -

Day-to-day commercial administration of project works.

Measurement and valuation of completed works.

Preparation and management of subcontract packages.

Cost tracking, forecasting and reporting.

Assessment of variations and compensation events.

Support monthly commercial reporting processes.

Assist with final account preparation and agreement.

Ensure compliance with project commercial procedures.

The requirements for this role include -

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline.

Previous Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering.

NEC contract knowledge and practical application.

Experience working on infrastructure, marine, port, harbour, piling or reinforced concrete projects advantageous but not essential

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

British National.

Experience on MOD, defence or secure projects advantageous but not essential.

Membership or progression towards a relevant professional body.
