This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual to gain hands‑on experience in project and contract management, with full training and clear progression opportunities.
Previous experience in refrigeration, air conditioning or construction is not essential. We're looking for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the desire to develop a long‑term career.
About AdcockAt Adcock, we've been providing heating, cooling and ventilation solutions for over sixty years. We pride ourselves on delivering an outstanding client experience every day by creating a great place to work.
What you'll be doing
Working alongside our Projects and Contracts Managers, you'll coordinate refrigeration and air conditioning installation projects from initial quotation through to completion. No two days are the same.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the planning and coordination of installation projects
- Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
- Obtaining quotations and assisting with project cost tracking
- Ordering materials and equipment
- Preparing project documentation, including health and safety records
- Maintaining client and project records
- Assisting with invoicing and contract administration
- Supporting the production of operation and maintenance manuals
- Visiting customer sites to support project delivery and reporting
You’ll play a key role in helping projects run smoothly, ensuring information is accurate, documentation is complete, and deadlines are met.
What we're looking for
We're less concerned about previous refrigeration or air conditioning experience and more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, aptitude and organisational skills.
You will ideally have:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The confidence to communicate with colleagues, suppliers and customers
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive approach to solving problems and getting things done
- A full, valid driving licence for driving in the UK is required.
Experience in project administration, project coordination, construction administration, scheduling or planning would be beneficial but isn't essential.
What's in it for you?
- Full training and ongoing development
- Clear opportunities for career progression
- Exposure to real projects and contract management activities
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service
- Supportive and experienced team environment
As a widely respected organisation within the cooling and heating industry, we believe that our success is down to our employees. By creating a great place to work for our talented, hard working, loyal employees our business will continue to deliver and be known for our excellent service and expertise.
Hours
