About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Property Development Manager to lead exciting new development projects in and around Glasgow . This role is central to identifying potential sites, managing the full development lifecycle from concept to completion, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and planning authorities, driving strategic growth and shaping the urban landscape. This is a leadership position offering the chance to leave a tangible mark on the city's development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess new development opportunities, conducting feasibility studies and financial appraisals.
- Manage the entire development process, including planning applications, design, and construction phases.
- Appoint and manage external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant planning regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Develop and manage project budgets, cash flow, and timelines effectively.
- Oversee the sales and marketing strategy for completed developments.
Requirements
- Substantial experience (8+ years) in property development , managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of the development process, including planning, finance, construction, and legal aspects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of the Scottish property market and planning system.
- Degree in Property Development, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
