About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and visionary Property Development Manager to oversee projects from inception to completion in Glasgow . This critical role involves managing all aspects of the development lifecycle, including site acquisition, planning, design, construction, and sales. You will work closely with architects, contractors, local authorities, and sales teams to deliver high-quality residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong understanding of the development process, a passion for creating exceptional spaces, and a commitment to delivering projects on time and within budget, contributing to the regeneration and development of urban areas within Scotland's vibrant economic landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire suitable land or properties for development projects.
- Manage the planning application process, including liaising with local authorities and stakeholders.
- Oversee the design and architectural planning phases, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.
- Appoint and manage contractors and consultants throughout the construction phase.
- Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Coordinate sales and marketing efforts for completed developments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Property Development Manager or in a similar role within the property development sector.
- Strong understanding of planning regulations, construction processes, and project management methodologies.
- Experience in financial appraisal and deal structuring for development projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Relevant degree in Property Development, Construction Management, or a related field.
