Property Development Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Property Development Manager to lead and manage property development projects from inception through to completion in the Nottingham area. This role involves identifying potential development sites, overseeing planning, design, and construction phases, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, local authorities, and investors, playing a crucial role in shaping the urban landscape of Nottingham through innovative and sustainable developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new development opportunities, conducting feasibility studies and site assessments.
• Manage all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning applications, design development, and procurement.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality specifications.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and other consultants throughout the project duration.
• Secure necessary approvals from local authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Manage project finances, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Ensure developments comply with all relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and planning policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in property development management, ideally with a portfolio of successfully delivered projects.
• Strong understanding of the planning process, construction methods, and project management principles.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling.
• Experience within the Nottingham or East Midlands property development sector is highly advantageous.
• A relevant degree in Construction Management, Property Development, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
