About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Development Surveyor to join their team in Reading . This role is central to identifying and assessing potential development opportunities, managing projects from inception through to completion, and ensuring that all developments meet stringent quality and regulatory standards. You will play a crucial part in the company's growth strategy, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders across the Berkshire region. This is a challenging yet rewarding position for a professional with a strong understanding of the development lifecycle and construction processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential sites for property development, conducting feasibility studies and market analysis.
• Manage all stages of the development process, including planning applications, design, and construction.
• Oversee project budgets and timelines, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Conduct site visits and quality control inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and building regulations.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and service providers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Property Development Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction or property development industry.
• Strong knowledge of planning policies, building regulations, and construction methods.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience in managing budgets and negotiating contracts.
• Full UK driving license is required for site visits and meetings across the Berkshire area.
