About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Property Development Surveyor to join their team in Norwich . This role is integral to identifying and assessing potential development sites, managing the planning process, and overseeing development projects from inception to completion. You will liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of the development lifecycle within the Norwich property market.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential development opportunities, including site feasibility and market analysis.
- Manage the planning application process, working closely with planning consultants and local authorities.
- Oversee the design and construction phases of development projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations.
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and timelines.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including landowners, investors, and contractors, throughout the development process.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
Requirements
- Qualified Surveyor (e.g., RICS) or equivalent experience in property development.
- Proven experience in managing property development projects from acquisition through to completion.
- Strong knowledge of planning regulations, building codes, and construction methods.
- Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze development potential and financial viability.
